The Red Hawk varsity softball season has started, and the girls are very excited for this season. We have many returning players along with some newcomers that will make a big impact this year. This Red Hawk team only has one senior, Jersey Traxler, who returns at 2nd base this season. Jersey has good speed and is also a very consistent contact hitter. Other returners include Lucy Lyons, who will move from 3rd base to left field this year; Karly Harrison will handle most of the catching duties; Kendall Fisk will rotate between pitcher and 1st base; Dakota Traxler will play centerfield; Harper VanBeekom, our utility player, will pitch, play first base, and may catch a few innings as well, and Jessie Teesdale who returns to the shortstop position. Phoebe Fisk, Ava Workman, and Alana Wiles are three juniors who are joining us this year & will all spend some time in the outfield. Ava will see some time on the pitching mound as well. Rounding out the rest of the team is sophomore Addie Schick (IF), as well as freshmen Alora Morales (3B), Elle Ingersoll (OF), and Elizabeth VanSyckle (OF) One of the most exciting things about this Red Hawk team is that we have both seasoned upperclassmen with a good knowledge of varsity softball, but we also have energetic young players with a wealth of potential. We have big goals this season and this will be a really fun team to watch. Come out and see us play...you won't be disappointed!
