First week of 2025! Despite having a long break (9 days off), the girls came back into the gym on a mission to finish their round 3 before the Red Hawk Rumble, and they did just that! The practices we did have were primarily dedicated to finishing round 3 and getting good reps of rounds 1 and 2. On Saturday at the Red Hawk Rumble, we celebrated our 3 graduating seniors: Ashley and Sarah Buckley, and Kadee Rypma. Our youth program also awarded each senior $500 for their time and contribution to the youth program. We had an army of Red Hawks Saturday as all levels from 2nd grade-12th grade performed! Needless to say, the future of Cedar Springs Cheer is bright! Despite having a rocky start in round 1, the girls prevailed and kept pushing through putting out a strong round 2, and an amazing round 3! You would have never known that they only had 4 days to put it together! The girls went from 5th place after round 1 to 2nd place at the end of round 3. This is a true testament to their grit and determination. Coaching staff could NOT be prouder or more pleased with the performances the team put out. It was a great way to kick off 2025! We are now headed into our busy season and we are all gas until State Finals! This week we are continuing to rep all 3 rounds and make upgrades. We take the mat at Sparta High School Thursday evening for our first River City Alliance competition! Saturday afternoon we are headed to the east side of the state at Stoney Creek High School. We love going over to the east side as we see some of the top contenders in the state at these competitions! It is a great experience for the girls.
